Rent Assistance has quite a few links regarding housing assistance for low income families. 

 ,i our my our home in shably country not mempis,it is paid for,it is 3 bedrooms,has a big kic area,i can have  one famly in the 2 bedroom,2 in you girls want toshade,i retite at 57 to take care of my exwife who is in a wheelchair,i let her move to ohio and gave her the car i buy for her,i have her frist love van,she back with him,i take care of her for 8 years,so now i haave all her pets in this big house with nobody but me in it,2 of  the bedroom will let water in,but we can do something it,my name is robert lower i live at 457 fernhill cove in memphis tn 38127,so you know where i live and if you can get here,i could not tell by your add where anybody was,to me not a good ? to do it that way,they no camine here,i do not lock my door or car,and your kid can walk to the school and the park,have 2 here,and stone close .i found one famly but i do not 200 dollars to drive to ohio and pick they up,so if someone can help with gas i can gave a homeless family a home

I am 47 year old female that is helping to raise my soon to be 3 yr old grandaughter with out the help from the father.  I just want to be able to raise her to be the best that she can be (healthy, beautiful, and happy!).  She is the reason that I got the home that I am in now.  She had breathing problems, allergies, ect.  now that I have this home she has only been sick maybe 4 weeks all total in the last year.  I do not want to have to move to another home.  Please help me keep this home! I am a single mom of  3.I live in Memphis, Tn. The city here is getting pretty rough. Crime is way up. I had to make a choice and leave the job I had so I could be here with my kids when they got out of school to keep them out of trouble. Our house has been broken into several times..Right now the front storm door is still broken where they busted the glass out of it. Life is ok.I worked two jobs topay everything off..and with incometax and an understanding employer of 11 years.I am drawing my unemployment. I have the basics covered for a while. Life is decent. I am trying to go back to school. I willqualify for a pell grant for the summer session. Am looking for any info on other avenues besides school loans to go with it. Is anyone aware of access to any real sight that I can get some info from.I just would prefer not to build up the student loans if there is another option.I worked hard to pay off allmy debt besides every day living expenses.I would prefer to be able to have loans when the children get ready to go to college...The older two are honor roll students one entered highschool with 3 credits to start with when she started.I want to do this for me as well as so I can be an example for them. I have already preached how important it is for them to have a college education.But it is for me also.No one in my family has ever went to college. I was the first to graduate from highschool. I will get there. Just trying to see if there is a way to make it a little easier.I am a very hard worker.This is not something I am very committed to.I am just lost in all the send us $$$ we will help you find grants. If I had all the extra $$$ I would not need help. I just can't believe there is not some help out there for an education. I would appreciate any information any one would give me..Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Single mother of two just trying to get back on my feet.  Working one part-time job just had surgery need help with catching up on my bills felled behind because of my surgery.  In need of a reliable car and becoming debt free.  Came across this website from looking at singlemom home business.   In the process of trying to become debt free, working a full-time job & saving so I can  start the process of buying a home of my own.   Would be graceful for any help....Thank you...

My name is Tony and I have found my self in a situation that I am unable to overcome alone.  I had a GREAT job for a major company until I got hurt.  This company decided to put the screws to me and fire me, deny as much workmans comp benifits as possible, deny my unemployment just to make it a hassle for me, and have left me still in a lot of pain.

I had a prvious, non-related, surgery in 1995 on my lower back.  Now 10 years later I have reinjured it on the job.  I was only 21 when I had my first surgery, and now I am just 32.  The pain I feel, on a constant basis, is not allowing me to work.  I went from making good money to $0.

I am not a lazy person nor do I accept the fact that I have to ask for a "handout" very well.  It kills me to know that I cannot provide for my fiance and her son like I have been able to in the past with no answers in site. 

We are about to be evicted, we will not be having much of a christmas, we dont have a lot of food now as it is, we are trying to move to Texas where my fiance is from so she has some family to help, all aur bills are so past due that most have been turned over to collections (killing our credit), and no end in sight.

I am an engaged white male that lives in Memphis now ( thanks to transfering with my job ), who has put off all of my marriage plans and home ownership plans due to this injury. 

I did landscape work for 11 years before I got the  warehouse job I was recently fired from.  All I know is physical work. 

I am originally from Kansas City.

I am now 32 years old.

If you happen to be one of those lucky people on this earth that is able to buy excessively anything you want, travel aimlessly and have everything in life you ever wanted, please take a moment and think of me and my 2 children who currently have no place to live and barely anything to eat.  I am currently "staying" with a verbally abusive man who amazingly threatens to kick us out daily, because we had nowhere else to go.  I am a single parent of 2 , one child is disabled with Down's Syndrome.  Picture this.... Have you ever had to write checks to those check cashing places that give you your whole paycheck in advance but charge a $30 fee every 2 weeks? Well I currently have 3 of them out, to include everything I had of value in the pawn shop getting ready to lose it.  Have you had your house and car repossessed lately? Do you have a son who is a Senior who you could not buy a yearbook or class ring for or get his Senior Pictures made? Do you have an old dying dog who needs medical attention who you cannot even get his yearly shots? Have you ever lived on peanut butter, macaroni and cheese, chicken leg quarters and ground turkey meat? Do you have an abcessed tooth that you cannot even afford the copayment your insurance requires to get it fixed? Have you ever lived without utilities?  Have you ever had to write a check before payday hoping it wouldn't bounce, just so you'd have enough gas to get to work?  Or better yet, have you ever "tried" to file with Juvenile Court to receive child support "without an attorney?" If not, then you might need to try a reality better than the reality show "A Simple Life" because there are some of us out there who are not as fortunate. Any financial assistance would be greatly appreciated and I can guarantee you this is definately not fraud because I have every piece of information needed to back up my situation. As you can probably tell from my post I am very angry mostly at their fathers. I was not a whore making babies. I was actually married to these guys who contributed to bringing them into this planet.
